First Meet-Up & Chai: South Asian Culture Club Launches in Istanbul

Welcome to the very first gathering of the South Asian Culture Club, Istanbul!

1. Who can join?
Anyone! No background is needed; whether you’re from South Asia, have lived there, or simply love the food, music, films, and stories. Bring your curiosity and come join us for our founding meet-up over a cup of chai.

2. What is it about?
This first session is casual and easygoing: we’ll get to know each other, swap stories about what brought us here, and brainstorm together what we want this club to become.

3. What will we discuss?
Future events, favourite spots around Istanbul, film nights, food meetups, festival celebrations, language exchange, and more. All ideas welcome!

4. What should you expect?
- Chai and great conversation,
- A relaxed round of introductions,
- A warm, inclusive sense of the community.

Practical notes:
- Karak tea costs 130 TL at the venue, but hopefully next time everyone can bring their own tea recipe to share!
- For those who will join Picnic in Moda on the same day, after our meet-up, we can head over there together (if so, please don't forget to register that separately)
