Things to Do

Belgrad Ormanı (Kuzey Girişi)Must Visit

The northern reaches of the Belgrade Forest — less visited than the main entrances and wilder as a result. Long trails through ancient woodland.

Belgrad Ormanı, Eyüpsultan

This end of the forest is significantly quieter than the Bahçeköy entrance. Bring a trail map — paths are less signed here.

At ÇiftlikleriSmileys Pick

Several working horse farms in the Kemerburgaz area open for trail riding through the forest. A surprising experience this close to the city.

Coffee

Köy Kafeleri ve Çay Bahçeleri

Village tea gardens and simple cafés along the main road through Kemerburgaz — popular weekend stops for those driving to and from the forest.

Kemerburgaz Köyü, Eyüpsultan

Food

Köy Restoranları

Rustic village restaurants serving grilled meats and meze. Best on a Sunday afternoon after a forest walk.

Local Tips

·Kemerburgaz is only realistically accessible by car — no meaningful public transport from the city centre.
·Best as a day trip destination for hiking and horse riding rather than a base for living.
·The forest roads are popular with mountain bikers and trail runners on weekends.
·Combine with Göktürk for a full day out in Istanbul's green northern belt.
