Smileys is growing — and İzmir is next.

After building a strong community in Istanbul and beginning our journey in Bodrum, we’re bringing Smileys to a city that already has something special at its heart: a social, open-minded and easygoing way of life.

İzmir feels like a natural home for Smileys. 🌿

From seaside evenings and spontaneous plans to food, music, sports, culture and weekend escapes, there are countless ways to meet people and experience the city together.

Why İzmir?

İzmir is more than just a beautiful city by the Aegean.

It’s a place where students, locals, internationals, expats, remote workers, entrepreneurs and people simply looking for a more social life come together.

There’s always something happening — but finding the right people to do it with isn’t always easy.

You’ll have a local İzmir community while staying connected to Smileys in Istanbul, Bodrum and the cities coming next.

We don’t want to copy Istanbul and simply put it in İzmir.

İzmir should have its own hosts, its own clubs, its own favorite spots and its own way of bringing people together.

If you know the best places for dinner — organize a food night.

If you’re into music — bring people together for a concert.

If you love exploring — create an adventure.

Or if you simply want to meet new people over a coffee or drink, start a hangout.

You don’t have to wait for someone else to organize it.

We’re looking for people who live in İzmir, recently moved here, study here, work remotely, spend part of the year here — or simply want to build a bigger social circle.

We’re especially looking for the first Smileys İzmir hosts and club organizers who want to help shape the community from the beginning.
