After Dark
Kaleiçi after dark
Courtyard bars in Ottoman houses, rooftops over the harbor, and lanes that stay warm past midnight.
Why do it?
At night the old town changes character: the day-trip crowds drain away and Kaleiçi's real nightlife surfaces — bars in the courtyards of restored Ottoman houses, rooftop terraces looking over the harbor and the dark gulf, live music drifting out of the lanes. In an Antalya summer the evening is when the city properly wakes up, and Kaleiçi is the most walkable, most atmospheric place to spend it.
The Smileys Take
Skip the harbor-front strip, which mostly performs for tourists, and head for the courtyard and rooftop places in the back lanes — a garden under orange trees beats a laminated menu with photos every time. Summer nights run late because they finally can; ten o'clock is early. It's an easy district to go out in solo or in a small group, which is why our Antalya evenings will keep landing here.
