Why do it?

Antalya's coastal plain is Türkiye's market garden — the greenhouses you pass on every drive supply the whole country — and the weekly neighborhood pazars are where that abundance lands, hours from the field. Every district has its day: rotating markets of produce, olives, cheese, herbs and household everything, with gözleme griddles going at the edges. Shopping at yours is one of the fastest ways to stop being a stranger where you live.

Ask a neighbor or your building's WhatsApp group which day your pazar sets up — everyone knows, and asking is itself a good icebreaker. Go in the morning with a trolley or big bags, buy what looks best rather than what you planned, and eat a gözleme standing up. Prices and quality both beat the supermarket, and stallholders start recognizing you by the third week. That feeling is the point.
